Gallery is moving the market: POTM rumours, and the pump on Salah
TheFutAccountant went through the week's FC 27 content and one thread runs through all of it: the Gallery is now the thing setting prices. Everything below is his read, not settled fact.
POTM into the Gallery
He reports rumours that Player of the Month cards join the Gallery from Thursday. If that lands, it changes how people think about SBCs — a card is no longer just its stats, it is also a Gallery slot. He expects that to push the game further toward pay-to-win.
The manipulation he is warning about
Gallery sets reward tokens, so people need specific cards. Some traders have worked out which ones and are buying them up to squeeze the price. His examples:
- Salah went from around 350k to 700k coins — his words: a pump and dump, not the card finding its real value.
- Mascherano moved the same way.
His advice is to stay out of those. When a card doubles because a handful of people are cornering it, the person holding it last pays for the party.
The safer Gallery play
The same demand reaches the bottom of the market, and there it is far less risky. Bronze and silver cards from specific clubs — he named Roano and Deportivo — are being pushed to around 4,000 coins because people need them to finish easy Gallery sets. Bid or snipe those cheap and sell into the demand. Small margins, but no one is manipulating a 400-coin bronze.
Elsewhere in his week
86–90 fodder has climbed hard; if you stocked it earlier you are already up, and he would bid rather than buy now if new packs flood the market. He keeps flipping Icons and Heroes on short swings. And women's attackers and midfielders — Vicky Lopez, Chawinga — have run up enough that he would be taking profit rather than buying in.
The 79+ upgrade packs and Gold Rerolls are where he puts spare club fodder rather than letting it sit.
Prices do what they want. Check the graph before you follow anyone into a card that has already doubled.
