Role++ evolutions are back: 7.5k each, and a trade lock

Nate at TheFutAccountant went through the Destined for Glory content and the part worth your attention is quieter than the headline cards: Role++ evolutions are back. Everything below is his read.

What they do

  • 7,500 coins each, a fixed price
  • No maximum rating cap, so they apply to almost any card in your club, not just the cheap ones
  • They add a specialised role rather than raw stats - box-to-box for a midfielder, a defensive role for a centre back
  • Useful when your squad plays fine but one player sits in the wrong role for your tactics

The part that catches people out: evolving a tradeable card makes it untradeable. You cannot list it again, and if you were holding that card to flip, the profit is gone.

The way out, per Nate: FC 27 lets you remove an evolution. The card reverts and becomes tradeable again. Worth knowing before you panic.

Also in the event, briefly: the objectives are the best value, with packs like 80+ x4 and 83+ x4 for a few matches you can play on Beginner. The Destined for Glory cards upgrade on domestic form from 25 September, so international break fixtures do not count. And he rates the Antonio Nusa SBC at roughly 60k to 70k coins, which he thinks is steep for the card.

One market warning he repeats: store packs are still moving prices hard, and he sells before the daily content drop at 6pm UK rather than holding through it.

In ABFut: check a card's live price and graph before you evolve it. An evolution locks the card, so the app cannot list or sell it afterwards - decide first whether that card is a keeper or a flip.

Check the role your weakest starter is playing tonight before you spend 7.5k on the wrong one.
